Oct 22, 2021 at 15:47 comment added Keshav Srinivasan @Fizz It looks like a new study was just released analyzing the effect of Pfizer boosters on Delta: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8461567/pdf/NEJMc2113468.pdf How does this compare to the original study’s analysis of the effect of Moderna boosters on Delta?
Oct 22, 2021 at 15:35 comment added Keshav Srinivasan @Fizz Is anything known on how the 50ug Moderna booster compares to the 100ug Moderna booster?
Oct 22, 2021 at 15:29 comment added got trolled too much this week Also of some note: they used a 100ug booster for Moderna (same dose the orginal vax), but the FDA approved a 50ug one as booster, based on a different study biopharminternational.com/view/…
Oct 22, 2021 at 15:27 comment added got trolled too much this week They just used a pseduovirus that exposes the alpha spike to test subject's antibodies; see the abstract of the pdf you linked. On page 15 in the pdf (right before the discussion section begings) they say the only have binding data for beta and delta for Moderna but not the other vaccines.
Oct 22, 2021 at 15:24 comment added Keshav Srinivasan @Fizz What do you mean pseudovirus?
Oct 22, 2021 at 15:23 comment added got trolled too much this week Frankly I find the study rather "meh" because they used the alpha variant of SARS-Cov2 for their pseudoviurs. From more real-world data, Moderna had a better outcome against delta, in terms of how long the antibodies last.
Oct 22, 2021 at 15:17 comment added got trolled too much this week Actually I do now. It's between 3xModerna vs. 2xPfizer+Moderna.
Oct 22, 2021 at 15:16 comment added Keshav Srinivasan @Fizz Swanda’s chart says Moderna-Pfizer is better than Moderna-Moderna. WSJ and The Atlantic say the opposite.
