Brian F. Skinnider and Tak W. Mak, 2002:

The clinical and pathologic features of classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) reflect an abnormal immune response that is thought to be due to the elaboration of a variety of cytokines by the malignant Reed-Sternberg (RS) cells or surrounding tissues.

My question is:

Is someone who has elevated cytokines more susceptible to develop Hodkin lymphoma?

Or conversely there is no relation between this disorder on T lymphocytes and high cytokine levels (previously to the development of the cancer).
