Local Topical local anesthesia affecting the brain

First of all, sorry for my english level, it is not my native language.

So, the question is, If you would usea medical provider uses local anesthesia lets say on say the nose/ears or ears (a close place tolocation near the brain) and, could it would extend to the brain and put to sleep some part of the brain. to "sleep"?

Would the patient be able to stay awake? or his body would forcecould the anesthetic render him to sleep.unconscious?

and if heIf the patient is able to stay awake, would he instead lose that sleeping brain partthe function of the affected region of the brain?

I guess it depends I realize this could depend on what partthe exact region of the brain does the anesthesia affect, but just in general.

I don't need a big technical explication as I wouldn't understand, is it :).possible?
